Restriction of water resources requires optimal use of agricultural water resources. In this regard, the use of new technologies to increase irrigation efficiency. In arid and extremely arid regions such as Iran, the time and duration of irrigation is the key to achieving sustainable irrigation. Therefore, in this research, after constructing a garden in Imam Khomeini Higher Education Center with an area of 500 square meters, and installing equipment related to irrigation and fertilization, a fuzzy control system was designed to optimize water consumption and inputs, intelligent irrigation and fertilization system. The present study presents a practical solution based on artificial intelligence in which all stages of design and implementation are... |

In order to study the effect of conservative tillage on a number of physical properties of soil and the yield of rainfed wheat, an experiment in form of a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications was conducted in a field in Aliabad County, Iran. The study treatments included: T1) Conventional method, T2) Combined moldboard plow method, T3) Chisel-packer method, and T4) Direct planting method. During early October, the study soil was prepared based on these treatments in a field which was used for rainfed wheat farming in the the previous year. The apparent specific gravity of soil, weighted mean diameter (WMD) of soil aggregates, soil mechanical resistance, and soil permeability were measured. Data were analyzed in MSTAT-C.... |

In order to compare conservation tillage treatments on physical properties of soil, a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications was conducted in the fild of Agricultural Research ,Education and Extension Center of Markazi Province if Iran, during the 2 cropping seasons (2012 and 2013). The treatments were: 1) Moldboard plow + disc (conventional method), 2) Chisel packer, 3) Combined Tillage Tools, and 4) Direct seeding. In both cropping seasons, the tillage operations were carried out based on the experimental treatments in a plot containing fodder corn plant residues (var. SC-704). The physical properties of soil included soil bulk density, soil permeability (infiltration), mean weight diameter (MWD) of aggregates, and soil... |

Three types of tillage implements including moldboard plow (conventional tillage), heavy disk (tandem disk harrow) and chisel plow (minimum tillage), is common in Iran and widely used by farmers for plowing and preparing the land for rainfed or irrigated wheat production. Determining the most suitable tillage tools for each product, which creates the lowest cost for farmers, can bring more profit to farmers while reducing the investment costs. Many soil chemical and physical properties are influenced by the type of tillage. One of the most important factors, is the soil bulk density or the amount of oxygen in the soil. Oxygen in the soil is one of the most important factors in plant growth and reducing its concentration in the soil affects plant... |

Estimating the energy required to produce a crop is an important indicator in analyzing and evaluating agricultural sustainability. The purpose of this study was to investigate the energy use of strategic sugar beet crop in Qazvin provinces of Iran. In this study, data were collected from growers using a face-to-face questionnaire to calculate the consumption inputs (such as irrigation water, fuel consumption, seeds, manpower, electricity, machinery, fertilizers and pesticides) for different seedbed preparation, planting and harvesting operations. The results showed that the average input energy of sugar beet was 52055 MJ ha -1 and the average output energy was 532135 MJ ha -1. In sugar beet production, the highest and lowest energy inputs... |
